Most businesses ask for reviews at the wrong time, which is why they don’t get them.
They send an email three days later. By then the customer’s moved on, the good feeling has faded, and your request is one more thing in an inbox.
The right moment is the one where they’re already telling you it went well.
When someone says “this looks great” or “thanks, that was fast” — that’s the moment. Say: “I’m glad. Would you mind putting that in a review? It helps more than you’d think.” Then text them the link before you pull out of the driveway.
Two things make this work.
You’re asking while they’re still happy, not asking them to remember being happy.
And you’re handing them the link. Nobody goes hunting for where to leave a review. If it takes more than one tap, it doesn’t happen.
When’s the last time you asked someone in person?
