IT and business systems for home service crews that stop paying per truck.

Field-service software bills you for every technician you add. Lead platforms bill you for every call. Builtstead replaces the rented layer around your business with a website, booking, customer records, and invoicing you own, then automates the follow-ups so the office runs itself while you're on a job.

The math on your statement

Per-seat pricing punishes you for growing.

A five-person shop on Housecall Pro or Jobber is paying a few hundred dollars a month before the first invoice goes out. Add a tech, the bill goes up. Add Angi or Thumbtack on top and you're paying again for leads that three competitors also bought. Then the reviews, the reminders, the "are you still coming?" texts all get handled by hand, usually from the truck.

For a one-to-ten-person crew, an owned system covers the whole workflow. For larger shops that need a dispatch board and a technician app, we keep that core and replace everything around it.

  • Flat monthly fee. Add crew members without adding to the bill.
  • Your website, customer list, and booking calendar run on a server in your name.
  • A review request goes out after every completed job. Estimates get a follow-up on day three. Nobody has to remember.
  • Patched, backed up, and monitored by us. You never log into a server.

Built in San Diego, for the way work gets done here.

Crews across the county, from the coast to the Coachella Valley, run on the same rented stack. We've built owned systems for a landscaping company with multiple crews and small service shops that book from the truck. Discovery comes first, so we see how your day actually runs before we suggest anything.

What you rent today, and what you'd own instead.

Field service

Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan

Gap

Per-technician pricing, setup fees, and a customer list that lives inside a platform you don't control.

Fix

Owned scheduling, customer records, and invoicing for small crews. Larger shops keep their dispatch core and replace the rest.

Website

Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy

Gap

A monthly site you can't move, with a booking widget that costs extra and a contact form nobody follows up on.

Fix

A mobile-first site you own, with booking built in and every inquiry landing in your customer records automatically.

Leads & reviews

Angi, Thumbtack, review tools

Gap

Paying per lead for shared leads, and asking for reviews only when you remember to.

Fix

Review requests sent after each job, so your Google profile does the lead generation. Estimates followed up on a schedule you set.

Invoicing & payments

QuickBooks add-ons, Square, Wave

Gap

Invoices typed twice, deposits chased by text, and a bookkeeping mess at the end of the month.

Fix

Owned invoicing with online payment and automatic reminders, tied to the job record. QuickBooks stays if your bookkeeper wants it.

How an engagement runs.

Most crews are live in about 30 days. The new system runs next to the old one until you're ready to switch.

Questions crews ask

Ask a question
We have eight techs and a dispatcher. Can you replace ServiceTitan?

Probably not all of it, and we'll say so in the audit. A dispatch board with a technician app is a core system. What we replace is the perimeter around it: the website, booking, review requests, estimate follow-ups, invoicing, and file storage that are billed separately or per seat. That's usually where most of the waste is.

Can my crew use it from their phones?

Yes. Booking, customer records, and invoicing all work on a phone. Techs can see the day's jobs, mark them done, and the follow-up sends itself.

What does "owned" actually mean?

The server, the domain, and every account are in your business's name. If you leave, we hand over the passwords and documentation within seven days and the system keeps running. Nothing is hostage to us.

Who pays for the server?

You do, directly, in your own hosting account, usually a small monthly amount. That's the point: it's yours. Our fee covers the build and the management, not the rent.

What if something breaks on a Saturday?

Systems are monitored around the clock and restart themselves for most faults. Our written response commitment is four business hours for a system-down issue, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Pacific. We don't promise 24/7 coverage we can't deliver.
